I’ve spent most of my life working in 2D, with the past 10 years focused on digital illustration. That focus then developed into something a bit more while I was studying at Camberwell College of Arts, where I discovered 3D sculpting - which had me hooked pretty much straight away. I just wish I’d found it sooner, and I also wish I’d known there were tools made specifically for artists - not just programmers - that open the door to 3D without the dreadfully steep learning curve.
I specialise in two really great tools: one for drawing - which you’ve probably heard of called Procreate which almost completely replaced my sketchbook and has been my go-to for many years now - and one for sculpting, called Nomad Sculpt which is a super powerful 3D modelling tool exclusive to the iPad.
If you’ve ever looked into 3D modelling, you’ve probably come across Blender or an equivalent program in terms of difficulty, and as such will know just how complex and time-consuming it can be to master, and that’s where Nomad Sculpt is different. It’s been built with artists in mind meaning it’s super intuitive and totally tactile, and with just a few lessons, you’ll be creating characters, objects, and more.
• A complete guide to Procreate - from understanding the interface to mastering advanced techniques.
• An in-depth guide to the Brush Studio, including how to create your own custom brushes and textures.
• A step-by-step approach to sculpting in Nomad — from building basic forms to developing expressive, detailed characters.
&
• A clear process for rendering, lighting, and exporting your work for professional portfolios or social media.
Lessons are hands-on and practical - you’ll learn by doing, with step-by-step guidance throughout. We’ll go through each concept together, then put it into practice to reinforce your understanding and build confidence.
If you’re someone who wants to dive into digital 2D art, or you've always dreamed of turning your characters into 3D sculptures you can actually hold, I’d love to help you get started. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to take your skills further as a digital artist, my lessons focus on building a solid foundation and growing your abilities with clear, structured guidance every step of the way.
I offer lessons online via Zoom, scheduled at a time that works best for you. It’s a flexible, convenient way to learn, and I share my screen throughout the session so you can see exactly what I’m doing in real time, just as you would in person. This is a great option if you're based outside of London or simply prefer learning from home; however, if you’re more local, I also offer in-person lessons - either at your preferred location or at my office in Vauxhall.
