About Charlie Crew

Charlie Crew is a digital artist and character designer, raised in the Cotswolds and now based in Vauxhall, London. For nearly a decade, Charlie has been creating digital artwork shaped by a love of character-driven worlds - from the gentle creations of Charles Schulz (Peanuts) and Dick Bruna (Miffy), to more modern media such as Pokémon, Kirby, and the wider world of Nintendo - where simplicity, personality, and playfulness lead the way. That same love led to resin printing, turning 2D illustrations into hand-finished sculptures that bring those characters into the physical world.
A graduate of Camberwell College of Arts and now freelancing full-time, Charlie’s work is warm, approachable, and built with clarity, charm, and a strong sense of self. Inspired by illustrators like Anna-Laura – whose gentle storytelling and soft, character-led style reflect many of the same values – Charlie’s characters often begin as quick sketches or digital sculpts, developed through careful iteration and a close attention to form. Whether working on personal projects or collaborations, his focus stays consistent: to create characters that feel instantly understood – simple on the surface, but thoughtfully made.
